Traditionally Astrology was often used as a predictive tool. Even in the 20th century a number of astrologers have become famous by making successful predictions, including colorful figures such as Evangeline Adams, and Sidney Bennett. Certain cosmic events have proven to correlate with earth events, more common than those events that may otherwise be consider to occur by mere chance.  Astrologers have looked at, refined, and continue to study the methodologies used to evaluate future trends. For example when an alignment of the earth, moon and sun occurs (an eclipse) there is a greater chance than average for an earthquake to occur. Most modern astrologers realize the inadequacy of the word “prediction” and instead prefer forecast. Maybe it really doesn't matter which word is used, the point is that we are attempting to see if Astrology can suggest possible events or conditions in the future.   Perhaps, “project” would be an even better choice of words.  Because if we can define a pattern of repetitive behavior cycles, those cycles could be projected into the future.  Projected, but also modified to reflect natural changes due to maturity, education and attitude. But I will say that forecasting is much more than just looking creatively at patterns. Let’s take a look at the tools used today to forecast.
